Scanning Support
-
Most solid objects can be scanned, including parts, prototypes, tools, small assemblies, and everyday items that fit within the ScanHub system volume.
-
ScanHub supports four object sizes:
Small (7 × 7 × 4 cm)
Medium (23 × 23 × 12 cm)
Large (32 × 32 × 13.5 cm)
Extra Large (45 × 45 × 16 cm)
Scan volumes differ by location. Check Find a Hub to see what is available at your chosen location.
-
Objects must be stable and safe to place on the scanning platform. If your object is unusually heavy or fragile, contact us before scanning.
-
Transparent, highly reflective, moving, soft, or deformable objects may not scan reliably. Hazardous or unsafe items are not permitted.
For transparent or reflective objects, a temporary scanning spray may be used where appropriate. The spray is designed to evaporate after scanning and is applied with customer consent. Application methods and suitability may vary by object.
-
Yes. Multi-scan options allow you to capture complex shapes and multiple surfaces during your scan session.
-
ScanHub delivers high resolution meshes suitable for CAD reference, inspection, and 3D printing. Accuracy varies by object size and surface quality.
-
Your scan data is private. Files are delivered directly to you and are not shared or reused without permission.
-
Some ScanHub locations require scheduling, while others allow walk-in access during posted hours. If scheduling is required, the location will contact you after checkout.
-
Just your object. Everything else is handled at the ScanHub kiosk.
-
On-site staff and remote support are available to help during your scan. You can also contact the ScanHub support team at any time.
