The terms that apply when you use ScanHub.
These Terms of Use apply when you visit this website, book a session, or use a ScanHub kiosk. ScanHub is operated by OptimumARC Inc. By using ScanHub, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
ScanHub is a walk-up 3D scanning kiosk deployed as a service at customer and host facilities. You place your part on the kiosk, follow the guided on-screen steps using the access code issued to you, and receive your 3D scan files by email or to a local USB. STL files are provided as standard. STEP files are also available. Please keep your access code to yourself and use it only for your own scans.
If you or your company have signed a pilot, hosting, or service agreement with OptimumARC Inc., that agreement prevails over these terms wherever the two conflict.
OptimumARC Inc. offers a complimentary first scan on the following conditions:
OptimumARC Inc. may change or end this offer at any time. Changes to the offer do not affect offers you have already received by mail, which we honour as printed.
You must own the part you scan, or have the right to scan it and to receive and use the resulting files. You are responsible for any permissions needed from the owner of the part or of any design, brand, or intellectual property it contains. Please do not scan anything you are not entitled to scan.
Please do not scan people, animals, weapons, hazardous materials, illegal items, or anything that holds personal or patient information. We may refuse or stop any scan that breaks this rule.
You agree to cover OptimumARC Inc. against claims, losses, and costs that arise from your scanning a part you had no right to scan.
Keep your part within the kiosk's size limits and follow the on-screen steps. We may refuse, pause, or stop a scan at any time for safety reasons.
Scan files are delivered as-is. You are responsible for checking that your files are fit for your intended use before you rely on them for design, manufacturing, or any other purpose.
You keep ownership of your parts and your scan files. We use them only to deliver the service and keep it working, and we will not use them for marketing without your written permission. Confidentiality for pilot and hosted customers is set out in their signed agreement.
Scan results depend on the part, its surface and size. OptimumARC Inc. does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any scan or scan file.
ScanHub is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, or that scan files will arrive within any particular time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OptimumARC Inc. and its directors, employees, and host partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profit, data, or business, arising from your use of ScanHub or your reliance on any scan file. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount, if any, that you paid to OptimumARC Inc. for the scan that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page applies each time you use ScanHub.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be brought in the courts of Ontario.
